Kinetic Recovery Ropes
Why
Choose a Viking Kinetic Recovery Rope over straps? The straps
do not stretch as much as our ropes. The point of a Recovery
Rope or Snatch Strap is to provide stretch in a dynamic pull
(opposite is true for winchlines in a static pull). The more
stretch the more kinetic energy is built up to help move the
vehicle. These ropes cna stretch as much as twise that of straps,
giving you more tool for your money.
Viking
Kinetic Recovery Ropes are made from 100% Premium DuPont™
Nylon Double Braid, over 30% stretch at break with a normal
stretch of 10% to 20% when recovering a vehicle, with this kinetic
energy built up in the rope the vehicle will get unstuck quickly.
When
choosing a Kinetic Recovery Rope size, plan the breaking strength
to be 2 to 3 times the weight of your vehicle. For larger vehicles
this number is closer to the weight of the vehicle.
